You’ve been helping the unemployed in a myriad of ways over the past couple of years. Frankly, you thought things might have improved by now. But… they haven’t. And there are days when you don’t know if you can take anymore! But you’re a librarian and that’s what you were born to do – help other people.

In this full-day workshop, we’ll delve into how you can conduct an actual resume and interviewing workshops at your library. We’ll also touch on how a person can network – what is it? Why is it so important today? How does my personality affect my inclination to network? In the final segment we’ll address the issue of “Compassion Fatigue.” What kinds of situations cause that energy drain? How can we recognize it? How does it affect our working environment? What can we DO about it??
