Business reference questions can be particularly challenging, and the information elusive and expensive. In this two-hour live online class, students will explore the answers to 20 business reference questions like, “Are these stock certificates from 1930 I found in my basement worth anything?” and, “What companies in California manufacture computer chips?” Students will then have the opportunity to explore business reference resources further in an after-class exercise.
By the end of this class students will be able to:
- Identify basic business reference tools online
- Use business resources to answer specific questions
- Assist patrons with business reference questions more effectively
Staff from Florida libraries may register for this workshop at no charge. Priority will be given to SEFLIN members. Non-members will be placed on a waiting list and added as space permits after the registration deadline.
