SWFLN School-aged Programming with STEAM (progressive STEM)
March 24, 2015 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Description: Content creation with children gives them an appreciation for library materials, as well as allowing them to enhance their creative writing and artistic skills. We will introduce several activities that use the creation of a book as the jumping off point for content creation activities. These techniques are appropriate for 6-12 year olds but can also be adapted for use with teens.
About the Presenter(s): Artistic Literacy is committed to teaching librarians new ways to connect with their communities with innovative and exciting programming. Elizabeth McConney, Jennifer Parker, and Amber Holley all have years of experience working in libraries and providing innovative programs for their community.
