Want to know the secrets behind The Seattle Public Library’s 10,000+ fans on Facebook? Three staff members from their social media team will describe how they developed a robust Facebook presence and provide practical tips for libraries of all sizes. Get ideas for how you can engage with your community and thrive on Facebook.

Assistant Communications Director Caroline Young Ullmann is a veteran editor, writer and manager. She worked for daily newspapers for 20 years before joining The Seattle Public Library’s communications office in 2000. She helps manage the Library’s Social Media Team, is the Library’s main editor and helps develop strategic communications plans for Library initiatives.

Toby Thomas and Jennifer Robinson are librarians in the Virtual and Instruction Services department. Jennifer worked previously as a Teen Services Librarian, and Toby has been working in digital reference for six years. They currently spend much of their day on chat reference with patrons of all ages. Jennifer and Toby work with colleagues to deliver services like computer classes, podcasting, website changes, staff training, and awesome Social Media.
