When is the last time you experienced a change? Last week? Yesterday? Five minutes ago?
Change, of course, is inevitable. We have changes in automation systems, budget changes, technology changes, changes in work schedules, even our patrons change. The stress of change is compounded by our tendency to deny, ignore or resist change. And still…change happens.
In Dealing with Change During Tough Times, we will not only discuss the reasons for change, but why most of us resist it. We’ll learn how to deal with that resistance – in ourselves and others. Along the way, we’ll also discover how to deal with the changes we all face every day.
Avoiding the Resistance Trap, we’ll discuss just that – how can we avoid the energy-draining – but natural – resistance we feel to the changes all around us? Why do we resist at all, when we know resistance is often futile? This session will help us look inside ourselves to uncover our true feelings and how those feelings might be affecting us – and those around us.
We are all facing a multitude of changes right now – since “changes” aren’t going to go away, don’t miss this opportunity to learn how to handle them in a healthy, productive way!
