Thursday, November 17, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at Daytona Beach Regional Library
If you’ve ever answered (or heard) the question “have any good books to read?” at the public service desk, you’ve engaged in some readers’ advisory. Learn exactly what RA is, why library staff do it (and why we should continue to do it) and how to help readers find books they will enjoy. Learn about popular genres, how to evaluate books quickly for levels of appeal, and ways to expand your own knowledge of popular reading. Be prepared for hands-on activities and plenty of conversation with colleagues about good books.
