Genealogy is one of the world’s most popular hobbies and it’s not a surprise that it’s become number one in the United States. Millions of people around the globe are actively engaged in some form of family research. Just a few years ago, The Today Show estimated that 60% of the adult American population is involved in some level of research whether it be as a hobby or for medical or legal reasons.
For someone just beginning the journey into the past, the road can be confusing. The place to begin your family history research is with personal knowledge about your family. Our seminar(s) will feature three classes designed to introduce the basic concepts for starting the research process.
This session covers the most important steps in the research process. While following these steps may not guarantee 100% success, they will put researchers in the best possible position for long term success.
These sessions are designed to stand independently so you may choose the ones you want. We hope you can join us for all three. You as a member of SWFLN, have the option to register for all three of the sessions, stay for two, or simply just attend one; but you MUST register individually for each session on the SWFLN CE Calendar at www.swfln.org.
