Introducing RDA: 2, Resource Description (2 Day Live Online – PLAN)

This live online class (organized as two consecutive, 2-hr. modules) explores RDA’s (Resource Description and Access) basic guidelines with respect to the description of bibliographic resources. Catalogers have always provided descriptions of library resources and will continue to do so under RDA, but how it’s done will change somewhat. We also contrast RDA descriptive cataloging practices with those of AACR2 (the Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, 2nd ed.) to assist in the possible transition to RDA.
