Introduction to Cataloging for Non-Catalogers (Online Course)

Need to know about cataloging, but wouldn’t actually call yourself a cataloger? WebJunction Florida’s Introduction to Cataloging for Non-Catalogers course is for you. From the why of cataloging to its history, methods, techniques history, subject classification and Machine Readable Cataloging, this is the perfect introduction to this core library activity.

This course is also part of the Library Basics set which includes:

  • Shelving with NLM.
  • Using Databases.
  • Harnessing the Internet.
  • Basic Web-based Reference.

These courses are $40 each, but are FREE through WebJunction Florida if you work in a Florida library.
