Social Media Etiquette (Live Online – PLAN)

Social Media Etiquette (aka How to keep your fans and followers once you’ve made them!) Your library has made the decision to create a social media presence. You’ve put your library out there, and are ecstatic to be gaining fans and followers. . .now make sure you keep them. In this presentation you will learn the Dos and Donts of Social Media Etiquette.

Instructor: Jackie Papke is a former librarian and degreed teacher with a passion for people + information + technology. Teaching technology allows her to connect all three at once. While in her former position as a Reference Librarian and Webmaster for the Northwest Regional Library System, Jackie co-wrote the first Social Media Policy for the system, managed the Bay County Public Library Facebook Page (proudly doubling the fans!), and taught both peers and patrons.

Jackie recently left the public library to launch Eye4Insight, her own Independent Research and Technology Instruction Company. Jackie holds a Masters degree in Library & Information Studies with a concentration in Technology Management and a Bachelors Degree in Education.
