For many library employees, the troubled economy may feel like an emotional roller coaster. “Layoffs” and “budget cuts” have become bywords in the workplace, and the result is increased fear, uncertainty, and higher levels of stress. Since job and workplace stresses grow in times of change, it’s important to for the supervisor and manager to readily identify the individual and organizational symptoms of stress and to learn new and better ways of coping with the pressure.
This webinar will help participants in their ability to manage stress in their library workplace as they learn techniques to not only identify the stressors (both hidden and apparent), but also learn different skills and approaches to helping people cope and in some cases thrive more effectively.
This webinar will be delivered via SEFLIN Connect. Log-in information will be emailed approximately one week before the course.
Staff from Florida libraries may register for this workshop at no charge. Priority will be given to SEFLIN members. Non-members will be placed on a waiting list and added as space permits after the registration deadline.
