Work Registration Workshop

Libraries exist for the benefit of the mind, right? Well as we all know when it comes to services for the unemployed, libraries are usually the “go to” place.

It is mandatory now for the unemployed to now enroll online. Presenter Nelson Villaverde will give hands-on experience to show how easy it is to direct Job seekers to Southwest Florida Works where they complete the application process for unemployment.

• How to file a new claim online
o How to Create Pin #
o How to find Claim Information
o Skills Test Requirement
• How to claim weeks online
o How to enter a One Stop Visit

2.) Employ Florida Marketplace presentation
• How to fully register
o Completing Background information
o Up loading/creating resumes
§ Up to five Resumes
o Turn-on virtual recruiter
§ Up to Ten virtual recruiters
o Create an E-mail if needed
• How to use job search tool

• Offer free workshops

Tammy Benoit lived in the Estero/Bonita Springs area for over 20 years. She worked in the construction industry for most of that time transferring her skills from field to office as a Human Resource Manager. Due to the economy, Tammy was unemployed for seven months. She was hired by Southwest Florida Works in May of 2012. She is responsible for tactfully, courteously, and effectively speaking to Florida citizens regarding their unemployment compensation compliance issues while explaining the unemployment program in a clear and understandable manner, continually assisting claimants with compliance satisfaction. Recently, Tammy Benoit presented SWFL Works RIT workshop and also their Center Orientation on the Fox4 News station in January of 2013.
